11 Methods To Totally Defeat Your Best Robotic Mop And Vacuum

Best Robotic Mop and Vacuum Combos

The majority of robot vacuums and mops can be customized using an app that can save the maps of your home, set cleaning schedules and select mopping options. You can also alter the suction power and fine tune the amount of water and scrub action your mop makes use of.

A mapping feature aids your robot navigate around rooms, while an obstacle avoidance function helps it avoid hitting furniture, wires or stray pet toys. These are must-have features in my home, which is filled with toys scattered around.

1. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the company's flagship mop and vacuum, which is why it naturally comes with a host of features. It can sweep and mop simultaneously, and even lift its mop pads or brushes to ensure that soft surfaces don't get wet. It also can detect and avoid obstacles, thanks to the ability to spot pets plants, a variety of small objects.

The maximum suction power is 6,000 pascals. This is the highest power of any robot vacuum we have examined to date. It also comes with PreciSense LiDAR Navigation to track its position, which prevents it from getting stuck on a surface.

Mopping capabilities are also impressive, with the S8 Pro Ultra able to apply constant pressure of over 6 Newtons to the mop pad, resulting in deep cleaning. It also comes with an automatic mop lifting system, which lifts the pad when it goes from laminate to tile or hardwood to carpet and rugs, thereby avoiding soaking these types of soft surfaces.

The S8 Pro Ultra also has self-washing, and self-drying features. The pad is capable of rinsing and drying in the dock. The dust bin will automatically empty and return to the dock. You can set it and forget about it. You will only need to replenish the water tank or replace the dust bag on occasion.

All of this is powered by a lithium-ion 5,200mAh battery. The S8 Pro Ultra ran on its normal mop and vac-settings for around 160 minutes before it started to run out of power and returned to its base to recharge. This is within the range of the 180 minutes Roborock claims and is comparable with other hybrids that I've test.

This is a very robust and well-rounded product with the only downside being that it's pricey. But, the sheer number of features makes it a tempting choice for anyone looking to get rid of their old stick vacuums and mops. If you can justify the cost we strongly recommend checking this one out.

2. Dreametech L10S Ultra

The Dreametech L10S Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a premium combination. Its high-end price is justified by its robust feature set, which includes a large vacuuming capacity and two gyrating mops. It comes with an app-enabled smart control system and an advanced obstacle-avoidance system.

The L10S Ultra is one of the most expensive robotic vacuums and mop combinations out there at a recommended retail price of 999 euros. In my tests, it was able to perform well across all areas of the home, taking out 98.4 percent of debris from all floor types and managing to lift long hair with no tangling. The mops also performed well with excellent cleaning results with less effort than mid-range models. This was due to their rotational movement and a strong dose cleaning solution.

However, the L10S Ultra's main selling point is its innovative multi-functional docking station. The dock empties its dustbin into dirt bag, then refills its water tank to enable the mopping function and even dry the mop pads for you. It also has a real-time hazard detection system and allows you to schedule regular cleaning sessions with its smart controls.

The L10S Ultra does not offer better performance for removing carpet debris when compared to the other hybrid vacuum mops I tested. Additionally it's not as capable at scrubbing away tough stains like those in the top Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra.

In spite of the L10S Ultra's many high-end features, it still requires regular maintenance and care. Its base station has to be emptied, and the water and dust tanks should be cleaned, emptied and dried regularly to prevent mildew and unpleasant odors. The mop pads sold separately also need to be changed periodically.

I would recommend the L10S Ultra to anyone with the money. For those who are on a tighter budget, I suggest considering a more rudimentary model that will allow you to save money while still enjoying clean hands at home. Even if the L10S Ultra was the best robot mop and vacuum you could buy however, its price and ongoing maintenance will make it seem more a want than need.

3. Eufy S1 Pro

Eufy S1 Pro is the robot vacuum and mop that you need to clean up messes and clean dirt off your hard floors. This powerful robovac/mop combination is a mighty suction power of 8,000 Pa. It also boasts a large battery capacity that can be used for both mopping and vacuuming. And it is equipped with an excellent obstacle-avoidance system.  robot cleaner  has a mop with a roller that cleans by itself and makes it stand out from other models that require you to return to the base station to wash off the mop pad.

The S1 Pro has a unique mopping mechanism that is different from the spinning discs and microfibre pads of other robots. The roller covers the full width of the bot and is constantly filled with ozonated, clean water from its dock. While it spins the roller scrubs your floors while soaking up dirt, and any dry debris is picked up by the side brushes, or swept into the front colision bumper. The S1 Pro then discharges the mop water that is dirty into its base station, which is then absorbed by the tank's heating elements, and dumped into a larger storage bin. The tank that is onboard holds a decent amount of water and can manage about a dozen mopping sessions before running dry.

As with most robotic vacuums and mop sets like the S1 Pro is ready to come out from the box. It does need to be filled with clean water, but this is easy to do in the cleaning dock. If you'd like to use your own cleaner you can include a cleaning solution to dock. If you decide to opt for this feature, you'll need to purchase the brand-name cleaning solution from Eufy which is more expensive than other robot brands that allow you to use your own cleaning products.

The S1 Pro performed well in the coverage and navigation efficiency tests, as did the majority of robots. It was fast to map a room and it was able to navigate through furniture. It sat on carpets with longer piles several times during my tests. However it could be improved by updating the software. The S1 Pro is a very capable all-in-one robot for affordable prices.

4. Roborock Qrevo

The Qrevo is Roborock’s entry-level mop and vacuum cleaner however it has some impressive features. The dock's multifunction allows emptying the robot's dirtbag and refilling its water tanks and washing and sanitizing mop pads is done by the dock. The mopping system can be able to clean a large area prior to returning to its dock. The vacuum's extreme suction is perfect for picking up pet hair and other debris that accumulates on carpets.

The software that runs the appliance is quite dense, with a wide range of options to customize the cleaning process. You can clean manually the entire area mapped by this device or choose individual rooms, expandable zone, or a routine you've created. SmartPlan is one of the mopping options. It makes use of the sensors on the mop to map the space and determine the most efficient way to clean it.

Like all Roborock models we've tested like all the Roborock models we've tested, the Qrevo is a great performer in our tests. Its navigation system is robust that can quickly map rooms and cleaning them in a neat fashion. The 'Normal' setting for pathing is excellent at covering a room, leaving no major gaps or missed areas. The Reactive Tech hazard avoidance system works fairly well, too, though it's not as advanced as the color camera system found on the Qrevo Master or the S8 Pro Ultra. It can spot the dangers of carpets that are thick, but it may not always detect small things such as rug tassels or electrical wires.

One of the biggest flaws of this device is the absence of a mop after vacuum option which could be an issue for those who do a lot of vacuuming prior to cleaning with their robot. There's a simple solution: the app has an option that lets you "clean up", at the end of every vacuuming session. You can make use of the mopping features of the vacuum to get rid of the last traces and dust that were left behind after vacuuming. It's a nice addition and helps the robot to clean up a little bit better than its competitors with lower prices.
